Booking Form, How the Booking Process Works

This is the page where you formally book your shipment. Submit the form below and our export desk reserves space with the carrier, confirms the vessel or flight and the documentation cut-off time, and tells you exactly which documents to send. Payment is due in full once the booking is confirmed, and collection or drive-in is arranged around the sailing date. If you have not yet been quoted, ask for a rate first and come back here when you are happy with the figure.

The booking process, step by step

Every booking follows the same six stages, whether it is a single car on a roll-on roll-off deck, a 40ft container of furniture or an urgent pallet by air.

  1. 1. Submit the booking form

Give us the service, the destination, the cargo or vehicle details and your collection address. Nothing is committed at this stage, it simply opens the file with our export desk.

  2. 2. Booking confirmation

We reserve space with the carrier and email you the vessel or flight, the sailing date, the port or airport of loading and the documentation cut-off time, normally the same working day.

  3. 3. Payment in full

Payment is due in full when the booking is confirmed. Carriers charge us on booking, so space, container release and customs entries follow cleared funds rather than a payment instruction.

  4. 4. Documents and customs

Send the ownership and identity documents listed opposite. We lodge the UK export declaration, raise the bill of lading or air waybill and brief the destination agent.

  5. 5. Collection or drive-in

We collect nationwide on a transporter, or you deliver the vehicle or cargo to the nominated port, compound or warehouse before the cut-off.

  6. 6. Departure and tracking

Once loaded you receive the shipping references, the estimated arrival and the destination agent's contact details so clearance can be arranged before the cargo lands.

Documents we need to complete the booking

Customs and the carrier decide this list, not us. Scans or clear photographs by email are fine, and we tell you straight away if anything is missing before the cut-off.

Vehicles (RoRo or in a container)
V5C logbook or title document in the seller's or your name, photo ID for the registered keeper, purchase invoice or bill of sale, and a spare key. Non-runners need confirmation of whether they steer and brake.
Containers and household goods
A packing list or room-by-room inventory with approximate values, plus your passport details for personal effects relief and the consignee's full address and telephone number.
Commercial and air cargo
Commercial invoice, packing list with gross and net weights, commodity codes where known, and any licences, certificates or dangerous goods declarations that apply.
Everything else we ask for
Consignee name, telephone and email at destination, the delivery address if you want door delivery, and confirmation of whether you want all-risks marine insurance quoted.
