RoRo cargo service

Car Shipping from the UK — RoRo and Container Vehicle Freight

Cars, 4x4s, pickups, motorhomes, trucks and agricultural machinery leave UK ports every week on roll-on roll-off tonnage. Where personal effects need to travel with the vehicle, we ship it in a container instead.

Roll-on roll-off is the cheapest and simplest way to send a driveable vehicle abroad. The vehicle is driven onto a purpose-built car deck, secured for the voyage and driven off at destination — no container, no crating and no loading labour. It must run, steer and brake, and it must travel empty apart from factory-fitted equipment.

Indicative only. RoRo rates are calculated on cubic measurement, so a firm figure needs accurate length, width and height. Port charges, marine insurance and destination duties are quoted separately.

RoRo or container — which suits your vehicle?

RoRo wins on price and is ideal for a single running vehicle. A container makes sense when you want personal effects loaded around the vehicle, when the car is a non-runner or a high-value classic, or when the destination has no RoRo service. Two to four cars can share a 40ft container, which often lands cheaper per unit than individual RoRo bookings.
